sun-hands murmured: i have a question.. when you do your charcoal drawings do you grid it out before you draw?
i will answer this honestly.
i wish i would challenge myself where i free hand sketch my charcoal. but with the time crunch and being given only 3 days to complete a project, it is much easier to project the image on a wall and trace the outline.
i have free-handed much of my work like this, this, this, and this.
i’m ashamed that i take the easy way out.
